Quick Chooser: Which product should I use?

Product Actives Best For / Strengths Choose When Notes
NitroCure™ Nitrofurazone (pure) Whole-pond antibacterial option; broad Gram-negative coverage; straightforward dosing. Ulcers/fin rot are emerging or moderate and you want a single-ingredient route. Do not combine with other antibiotics during the same course. UV off, carbon out, strong aeration.
KanaRx™ Kanamycin (pure) High Gram-negative activity; strong track record in koi systems. Cases are more advanced or persist after a prior course. Avoid stacking with other antibiotics. UV off, carbon out, strong aeration.
KoiCure™ Oxolinic Acid (pure) Quinolone-class option; often used for classic Aeromonas/Pseudomonas ulcers. You want a different drug class or suspect classic ulcer pathogens. Do not overlap with other antibiotics. UV off, carbon out, strong aeration.
TriCure™ (blend) Nitrofurazone + Oxolinic Acid + Methylene Blue Combined spectrum plus methylene blue support for surface issues. Single-agent courses plateau; stubborn or mixed problems. Do not mix with other meds concurrently (e.g., FMG). UV off, carbon out, strong aeration.

Good to know

  • Safe for ornamental koi and goldfish when used as directed.
  • Maintain strong aeration during treatment.
