Directions for use:
Bath Method (for fish with multiple lesions or large quantities of fish) Mix four LEVEL large scoops and one LEVEL small scoop enclosed, of medication per one gallon of bottled water and pour appropriate amount of medication (sufficient to cover fish) in an escape proof treatment container. Aerate well and add fish making sure that the water temperature is roughly the same as the fish’s environment. Immerse fish in medication for 2- 3 minutes and return to holding tank. Repeat for 3-5 days until fish begins to heal, and then return to pond. The same dip can be used for 3 to 5 days only, unless it becomes badly contaminated. Product must be kept dry at all times. Keep both jar caps tightly closed and do not place a wet spoon in the product.
Rocker Method (for isolated lesions) same dosage as the Bath Method except you pour appropriate amount into a plastic fish bag. Place fish in bag and rock bag back and forth to expose the lesions to the medication for approximately two minutes each day for 3 to 5 days. Remove fish from bag and place back in holding tank. DO NOT add the contents of the bag to the holding tank. The same dip can be used for 3 to 5 days only, unless it becomes badly contaminated. Refrigerate mixed used solution after use each day.
Spray Method (for isolated lesions) Add one LEVEL SMALL scoop enclosed) of medication to the sprayer bottle. Fill the sprayer bottle to within one inch from the top of the bottle with bottled water only. Shake well for 30 seconds before using. Bring the fish to the surface of the holding tank, exposing the infection. Spray the infection twice. Hold the fish out of the water for one to two minutes before returning to the holding tank. Ulcer Aid Rx™ will not harm the gills or eyes of the fish. (if your fish have bacterial gill infection the gills can be sprayed) Continue for 3-5 days until fish begins to heal, and then return to pond. Any medication left over in the sprayer can be kept for up to 6 months in a refrigerator.
Direct Application Method (for isolated lesions) Remove appropriate amount of dry powder from container and apply directly to ulcer. DO NOT rub the ulcer it will harm the new tissue. Just sprinkle the Ulcer Aid on the ulcer. The powder will “melt” into the lesion. Hold the fish out of the water for two to three minutes before placing the fish back into holding tank. Repeat for 3 days to 5 days or until lesion begins to heal, then return back to pond. Keep powder in container dry at all times.
Once the fish begins to heal, return to pond and feed Medi-Koi for ten days.
