Salt at a dosage of 0.3% for 21 days was the treatment of choice, however, some strains of trichodina are now salt resistant. The best treatment for salt resistant parasites is Aqua Meds® TERMINATE®.

All ”sludge” should be removed from the bottom of the koi and fish pond and the pond filter, plus, a major pond water change should be done. Once the “sludge” is removed, a treatment every other week of Aqua Meds® Sludge Remover™ will keep your fish pond bottom clean and healthy for your koi fish.
