The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has become increasingly concerned with the potential diversion of aquatic remedies and medicated foods from the ornamental fish industry to the food fish industry. Because of that concern, the American Pet Products Manufacturers Association (APPMA), the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council (PIJAC) and the Florida Tropical Fish Farms Association (FTFFA) are in the process of meeting with the FDA and members of the industry in an effort to allow the continued use of aquatic remedies for ornamental fish.

To ensure that the aquatic remedies and medicated food for ornamental fish that Aqua Meds provides to you will not be diverted from their intended use, please acknowledge on the form below that they will only be sold for their intended use on ornamental fish not intended for human consumption. Our office will maintain a copy of this form, along with all invoices. The continued use of aquatic remedies for ornamental fish depends upon our acknowledgment of the concerns of the FDA and appropriate remedial action by the ornamental fish industry. We do not want to lose access to these valuable remedies, and Aqua Meds will do whatever we can to ensure that they will be used ONLY to treat ornamental fish by all of our customers, employees, and their customers.
